London Symphony Orchestra

I have been very priviledged to have been working with LSO Discovery since 2016, specifically as an animateur as part of LSO Connect. LSO Connect is a programme of activity with, by and for older Islington residents, offering opportunities for sharing stories and musical exploration in a positive, creative and kind environment.

I have been running an annual multi-disciplinary project at the Claremont Project, an incredible centre based in Islington that runs a rich and varied programme of classes for over 55’s. Over the the years we have created countless new songs, worked with documentary film makers and choreographers, met on zoom during the pandemic, and in 2024 we premiered an orginal work on the Barbican main stage accompanied by the full London Symphony Orchestra. I feel incredibly honoured towork with such an inspiring, encouraging, brave and creative community - it’s a highlight of my year.

Alongside my work at Claremont, I also deliver other work for LSO Discovery including pre-concert workshops in the Barbican Foyer, music sessions for mothers and babies and the Monday Club - a monthly music workshop for disabled and/or neurodiverse adults, their supporters and carers.
