Breakfast Club with the Melisa Network of Migrant Women and Greek National Opera, 2018
My quartet Breakfast Club returned to Athens in 2018 to deliver a weeklong project at the Melisa Migrant Network in partnership with the Greek National Opera. It was an amazing opportunity to work with the many women who access Melisa for support and community, and to explore music as a means to communicate across multiple languages.
We explored personal stories, some painful and some joyful, and we danced and sang together, The week culminated in a joyful performance at the centre for family, friends and members of the community.
